Born & raised in Virginia, I moved to the Seattle area in 2002. I've been in software development for over 16 years because it feeds my need to solve problems and find ways to make things just work better. When people ask why I moved to the Pacific Northwest the answer is simple - quality of life and the weather. Fresh air, beautiful forests, perfect summers, the lakes, the cosmopolitan nature of the area, and the chance to connect with some of the brightest minds in software development. Besides, where else in the US is a conservative, Southern good ol' boy like me going to find a city with a statue of V. I. Lenin at a public intersection? :-o
